We are a Sword Dancing team based in Birmingham
We practise each Tuesday Evening at The Ruin on Floodgate Street in Digbeth

We are a mixed side who perform a style of dance that comes from the North East of England
It's a lively style which incorporates double handled swords with which all the dancers are connected.
It is performed to medleys of fast traditional melodies called jigs
Performances are traditionally done in bars and public houses
Building a Reputation in Birmingham
To enhance our profile in the City we regularly do walking tours and perform at different establishments.
You may have even seen us in Birmingham City Centre or Stirchley - another of our favourite places to dance out.
In April 2026 we organised DERT2026
Dance England Rapper Tournament
Teams from around the country and from overseas came to dance at a variety of venues - Thanks to: The Good Intent - The Old Contemptibles - The Newhall Street Tavern - Pure Bar and Kitchen - The Victoria & Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery
